What I Wore: Tatyana Alika Circle Dress

Twelve months ago, Melbourne was experiencing a summer that we Australians are known for: blistering hot days and no respite in the evening. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed these hot days and nights, though there was definitely some variances. On 2 February 2014, while official temperatures recorded at the Latrobe Street observation station (now closed) reached 39 degrees (Celsius; 102.2F), in Croydon, Victoria – 45 minutes out of the CBD where the BOM observation station was at the time – temperatures seared to 44 – 45 C (111.2 – 113F). Planning: Putting off until tomorrow and how to get back on top of it

It would seem that, despite all my best efforts, I didn’t get my blog planner printed until last night! The result? It’s now Wednesday and I’m only just getting to start the planning now. I’ve let myself down by not prioritising this task. Sure, I love that I have a super clean and neat flat now, and that my outfit for The Mister’s step-sister’s wedding in 12 days is complete, but I’ve left something important fall behind. Shopping: New Year’s Day Finds

And just like that, it’s 2015! Happy New Year to you all. I hope however you marked the occasion was just as you planned. We aren’t really into celebrating New Year, so we stayed in watching Across the Universe eating home made pizza and garlic bread, and were in bed just after 23:30. We heard loads of fireworks (official and crackers being let off in residential areas nearby) ring in the year, and dozed off soon after that. Continue reading
