Happy Easter! Chag Sameach! Or just happy long weekend! And, if you’re lucky enough to be in Las Vegas for the annual rockabilly festival, Viva Las Vegas! This long weekend has been just what the doctor ordered: time for rest, recuperation, and spending time with family. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll be keeping up with all that’s been happening this weekend, but if not, here is what I’ve been up to.
Saturday was our fifth anniversary; it was also our last anniversary before we get married! We went for a walk on the Main Yarra Trail in Kew. This was where we first met.
Saturday evening there was a lunar eclipse. If you look hard enough you’ll see there is a grey speck in the centre of darkness. That is the moon at the point of totality. We sat in our driveway with our neighbours staring at the sky. We woke up on Sunday morning and ate some chocolate that The Mister’s brother gave us on Friday. These bunnies were accompanied by four Lindt carrots. The mug is from my childhood but The Mister has commandeered it for his daily coffee consumption.
There were obligatory selfies for Instagram as we headed to Geelong, and also to answer a 20 things about me on my other Instagram account. And last but not least, a rather confusing bed to arrive to at my parents’ house.
Today we’re off to run a few errands in Geelong before heading home to do homework later this evening. I hope you’re enjoying your long weekend and that you’ve been able to rest and recuperate.
Happy anniversary! I love the way your parents covered both major celebrations in one go. Perhaps they’ll have some Easter eggs at Christmas, too – that would be perfect.

Thank you! We had a lovely stroll and a lovely lunch.
Yes, my mother is rather unique. Sadly I do not think the Easter eggs will make it much further than May 😉
